Distress Oxide Blended Cat Card

Hi crafty friends, Noga Shefer here and I am so thrilled to announce that I am now part of the amazing Hello Sweetums design team!! This is my first card as a Design Team member. I am really excited about it and extremely grateful for this opportunity.

Today I'm sharing with you the first card that I created for this amazing company.

My card featuring Fuzzy Felines Clear Stamp Set and Fuzzy Felines Metal Die Set.

To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. The background was created by blended seedless preserves distress oxide ink with milled lavender distress ink.

I spired some water onto it and soaked it up with paper towel. I also splattered white paint on the background. Next I colored the images using copic markers. I glued all the images to my panel with foam tape for dimension.

Next I stamped a greeting from the Fuzzy Felines Clear Stamp Set using VERSAMARK ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

To finish off, I added some sequins for decoration. I hope you enjoy the card I created and feel inspired to create!

Buzzing By Bee Card

Hey everyone, Ashlee here....

Woohoo, I'm here to share my first post as a member of the design team for Hello Sweetums....

For this card I have used the super sweet set Bee's Knees and the co-ordinating dies....

To create this card base I used two shades of yellow distress oxide ink and blended them all over the base. I then splattered it with black watercolour paint for a fun effect.

The sweet images I coloured using my fave colouring medium Copics....
Once they were all coloured up I cut them out in my die machine using the co-ordinating dies and mounted them on the card with foam tape for added dimension. I love to finish off a lot of my cards with a touch of sequins because who doesn't love a little bit of bling hehe!!

I had so much fun creating with these crafty goodies, I hope you like it!!

Handmade With Love Pop-Up-Box Card

Hello, Niki here!

Thanks for taking the time to stop over here, for today's card Ive used several adorable sets from Hello Sweetums and created my first ever box card!

Please see below for my step by step.
Once I had assembled my box card, I used the Anything is Popsicle to stamp the flaps.

Above: Using the Crafty Companions set, I stamped and masked out my images, aren't they the sweetest?! I stamped on watercolour paper.

Above: I used the Scan n' Cut to cut out my images. Although it would have been even cuter to use the coordinating dies for the Yeti as it cuts around the hands, so I could have tucked the heart in.

Above: Coloured in my images using watercolours.

Above: I reinforce behind the Yeti from the Yeti Set Go set with a scrap of 110lb cardstock.

Above: At this stage I felt I needed more to fill in the gap below the scissors & thread, so I stamped, masked, coloured & cut some more images and adhered them below.

And that finishes my card.
Happy crafting!

Prehistoric Playmates Scene Card

Hi everyone! Thi, here. Today I am showcasing a card I made with Hello Sweetums Prehistoric Playmates. How cute are these little dinosaurs! I am always looking for something that I can use to make cards for all the boys in my life and this set is perfect. I stamped out all the images with Copic-friendly Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I then cut they out with coordinating dies and set it aside.

Next I inked up a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Distress Oxides. This was going to be the sky for my prehistoric scene! I cut down a strip of kraft cardstock to create a ground for my scene and my background is complete.

I arranged and adhered all my images onto my background with a mix of tape runner and foam tape to create some dimension. I then put the entire thing in my Misti and stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with white embossing powder. (You can do this before you assemble the card and skip the Misti, but I always forget to stamp my sentiment at the optimal time!)

Oceans of Encouragement Oxide Ink Card

Hi, everyone!

Rina here, with an ocean themed card using the Hello Sweetums “Oceans of Encouragement” stamp set. I am having holiday crafting withdrawals, but I am also excited to start using non holiday color palettes!

I created a background using Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass. I added more texture to the background by splattering white paint. I then used Copic markers to color in my images.

I had planned to tuck the ocean critters into waves on my background, but I had a hard time covering up these little cuties. Instead, I adhered them directly to the card making sure that the images faced different ways. I stamped out the sentiment on a strip of white paper and cut a fishtail on the end.

I finished off the card using the Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust to add shimmer to the images. I also added sequins for added shine.

Hope you try out this card, I absolutely adore the shark image, it is my FAVORITE!

Striped Distress Blended Card

Hey, crafty friends! Here is the second of two cards I was asked to make for Making Cards Magazine! They're finally out in the January 2019 issue, and it's so exciting! You can find the first card, here.

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for all the products used.

To start the card, I created a 10 x 10cm cardbase and also cut a panel of watercolour paper to the same size. I placed my panel down onto my craft mat and, stuck down strips of washi tape onto it, about 2 cm apart. I then used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to blend over the white bits of the panel which were showing in between the tape. After I let it dry for a few minutes, I removed the tape to reveal a blue and white striped pattern.

To assemble the card, I placed adhesive tape onto the back of the panel and fixed it to the cardbase. Next, I cut down a piece of watercolour cardstock to 7cm x 10cm and adhered a strip of silver glitter cardstock behind it. I used adhesive tape to stick it to the right of striped panel.

To finish, I stamped a wool ball and two knitting needles from the Crafty Companions set, and coloured them with alcohol markers, before die cutting them. To make the knitting needles look like they were sticking out of the wool, I attached them to the back of the ball, and placed adhesive foam down on the back of the image, to give it a bit of dimension.

Finally, I stamped 'wooly special friend' onto the card and adhered the ball above the sentiment. For the last finishing touch, I thought the card could use some pink, so I die cut a tiny heart and added it with a glue pen.

Here is the list of supplies used to make the card:

Watercolour Ink Smoosh Card

Hello, crafty friends!

Happy 2019! I’m back on the blog with the first of two cards to be featured in Making Cards and Papercraft Magazine! I created two cards with the Crafty Companions stamp and die set, and here is one of them!

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for all the products used.

To start off, I smooshed Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry, Scattered Straw and Spun Sugar Distress Inks onto a craft mat and sprayed on some water so they became fluid. I then pressed an A5 sized piece of watercolour cardstock down into the colours and dried it with a heat tool. I repeated the process about 3 or 4 times to make the colours really bright and pop off the page.

I then cut the watercolour panel down to 7.5cm x 14.8cm and stuck adhesive tape on the back along with strips of silver glitter cardstock. I then adhered the entire panel down onto a standard, landscape card base.

The glue bottle and paintbrush images were then stamped onto another piece of watercolour paper, and left white to stand out against the bright coloured background. I then cut them out with their coordinating dies and stuck foam tape to the back of them.

To add a bit of more interest to the card, I created a sewing thread 'bundle' and adhered it down by placing the die cuts and foam backers on top.

Lastly, I stamped the 'crafty friends stick together' sentiment onto the right hand side of the card, under the panel.

Here's the supply list for the card:

• Hello Sweetums stamp set, Crafty Companions
• Hello Sweetums die set, Crafty Companions
• Glitter cardstock
• Craft mat
• Heat tool
• Sewing thread
• Neenah Solar White cardstock, 80 lbs
• Mini MISTI stamping tool
• Watercolour card
• Versafine Onyx Black ink pad
• Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad
• Distress Ink Mini, Shaded Lilac
• Distress Ink Mini, Picked Raspberry
• Distress Ink Mini, Spun Sugar
• Distress Ink Mini, Scattered Straw
• Sizzix Bigshot
• Adhesive tape
• Foam adhesive
• We R Memory Keepers Mini Guillotine Trimmer

And that's it for today! Thank you so much for reading, there will be another card and video to follow!
