Interactive Snowy Scene with Action Wobbler Card with Julia

Hello everyone!

This is Julia and today I am back with another wintery scene card!! For this one I used the super cute "Snowy Smooches" stamp set.

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped the images from "Snowy Smooches", I colored all the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

I die cut the two hills out of white cardstock using the "Slippery Slopes" and two mountain panels out of black cardstock with the "Mountains of Magic" dies. For the snow caps on the mountains I used white glitter cardstock. The background was ink blended with Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. Then I added some sparkly splatters to the background for added interest.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the "Snowy Smooches" stamp set in silver. Then, I first adhered the mountains to the background using liquid glue. The hills were adhered using foam tape. Finally, I added all my images with foam tape and adhered everything to an A2 sized card base.

I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Sending Fuzzy Hugs Card with Thi

Hello, crafty friends! Thi here and today I am sharing a card I made with Yeti Set Go stamp set and dies. How cute are these images? The coordinating die for the Yeti holding the heart even cuts the arms out in a way that allows you to slip images between his adorable, little hands, which I did with a heart images.

To start off, I colored my images with Copic markers and die cut them out with their coordinating dies.

For the background, I inked blended with Distress Oxide in Peacock Feather down into white. I splatter the background with water and lifted some of the color. I then splattered some white ink on top. Lastly, I used the small snowflake images from the stamp set and stamped it with teal pigment ink. I think the process was super simple but creates a very interesting background for these little yetis!

I adhered the Yetis onto the background with foam tape for dimension. I then stamped the sentiment on pink card stock and heat embossed in white.

Lastly, I mounted everything onto an A2 card base and my card is finished!

Fab-boo-lous Card with Ashlee

Hey everyone....

Ashlee here with you today and I know halloween is finished but I just love this little "Fab-boo-lous Friend" set from "Hello Sweetums" so much and I think it is perfect for cards for friends any time of the year!!

For this one I created a slimline card base and then using some distress oxide inks in the shades Shaded lilac, Wilted violet and Seedless preserves I did an ink blended background.

I used a die cut called eucalyptus forest and cut it twice with black cardstock to make a spooky background prefect for the little ghosties....

I then splattered it with some Opaque white paint for a fun effect...

Using a CZ designs boo die I cut it twice from black cardstock and also from a piece of card that I had sparkled using WOW! Clarabelle sparkles....

(To do the sparkles I just put some double sided adhesive all over the card and then covered it in sparkles, rubbed them in and then tipped off the excess)

The sentiment was embossed on black cardstock with WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder.

A touch of sequins to finish the card off and it was done!!

Hope you like it, Hugs Ashlee.

Yeti or Not Christmas Card with Julia

Hello everyone!

This is Julia and I am beyond excited to be joining the Hello Sweetums Design Team!! I still can hardly believe it. Today I want to share my very first project with you. I used the adorable "Yeti Set Go" and "Snowy Smooches" stamp sets.

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped the Yeti from "Yeti Set Go" and the trees from "Snowy Smooches", I watercolored all the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

I die cut the two panels using the "Slippery Slopes" and one with the "Mountains of Magic" dies. The background was lightly ink blended with Victorian Velvet Distress ink. Then I used a background stamp to create the look of falling snow and heat embossed it in white. The two hills were blended with Cracked Pistachio and the mountains with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I also die cut the snow caps from a glittery white cardstock.

I embossed the sentiment from the "Yeti Set Go" stamp set in silver. Then, I first adhered the mountains to the background and added the snow caps using liquid glue. The hills were adhered using foam tape. Finally, I added all my images using foam tape and adhered everything to an A2 sized card base.

I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Patterned Paper Squeak Cheeks Card with Thi

Hello, friends. Thi here and I am sharing a card I made using the adorable Squeak Cheeks stamp set. Today I wanted to created circular spotlights on my card and I used the coordinating die for the hamster ball to create the circles! So this entire card was created with one stamp set and it’s coordinating dies.

I started by stamping and coloring my images with Copic markers. I die cut them with coordinating dies and moved on to the background.

For the background, I die cut the circles with the coordinating dies. Next I lined it up to a piece of Bristol smooth card stock and ink blended with Distress Oxide in Antique Linen, Dried
Marigold, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I then used the little leaf from the stamp set and stamped pattern paper using a light green pigment ink.

To put it all together, I filled the back of the “patterned paper” piece with foam tape and lined it up to the ink blended piece and adhered it on. Next I added my colored images with foam tape. For the sentiment, I heat embossed with white embossing powder onto lime green card stock and adhered that on with more foam tape.

And that’s it for my card! I hope you like my card as much as I liked making it! Thank you for stopping by and have an amazing, crafty day!

Alcohol Ink Blended Halloween Card with Angie

Hi, crafty friends! It's Angie here, and I'm back with a new card and video. Today, I've got a cute little Halloween card to share with you, made with lots of ink!

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for all the products used.

To create this card, I started by spreading droplets of alcohol ink blending solution, onto some 4x6" glossy photo paper, and then added drops of alcohol ink. To save some money, I actually used a ShinHan marker refill instead of alcohol ink, and immediately used a camera lens cleaner puffer to push the ink around, leaving a nice tie dye effect. Everything was then left aside to dry completely.

Next, I cut an A6 panel out of some card, and then covered the sides in black and white striped washi tape to give a more 'scary' pattern to the card. While the ink was drying, I also stamped and coloured my images from the Fab-boo-lous Friend stamp set with ShinHan markers, and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I pieced together the scene, with adhesive foams, and glued on clear droplets with Glossy Accents as nice a touch to go with the ghosts. Finally, I thought the sentiment should stand out on a banner, so I white heat embossed it onto a black cardstock, and cut out an accent on the edge.

And that finishes off my card! Halloween isn't celebrated much in Australia, but it was so fun to make this card. I hope you've enjoyed the video and this blog and are inspired to create. Thank you so much for visiting and happy crafting!

Stencilled Autumn/Fall Card with Angie

Hi, crafty friends! It's Angie here, and I'm back with a new card and video. This time, I decided to mix and match elements from older and newer sets, to create this adorable Autumn/Fall inspired design!

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for all the products used.

To create this card, I started out with a small panel of smooth Bristol cardstock. I cut out some birch trees using a die from my stash. I then used some paper tape to temporarily adhere the trees down, while I created a mask around them. Over the top of that, I created a grass shaped mask with the brand new Grass is Greener die set. To create a little Autumn inspired sunset, a gradient of Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral was blended with a brush. I removed the tape to reveal a white silhouette of the tree trunks.

While everything was drying, I stamped my images with brown ink to match the warm colours, coloured them with alcohol markers and die cut with their coordinating dies. I used the yeti and scarf from Yeti Set Go and to create the illusion of maple leaves, I used the lettuce from Squeak Cheeks, plus a small leaf from Funky Monkeys for some variety.

For the yeti to stand on, I bunched the leaves together to create a pile, then glued all the images together. For a pop of dimension, adhesive foams were attached to the back. Finally, a little sentiment was stamped on the right hand side, and a tiny leaf placed on one of the tree branches.

And that finishes my card for today! Thank you so much for reading, I hope you're inspired to create some Autumn/Fall designs!

Spooktacular Interactive Wobbler Card with Angie

Hi, crafty friends! It's Angie, back with a new card and video. Today, I'm using the brand new Fab-boo-lous Friend stamp and die set to create this spooky-cute interactive action wobbler card! This set has a lot of Halloween themed images, but can be used for other occasions!

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for all the products used.

I started my card by cutting an A6 panel out of some Bristol cardstock with a stitched rectangle die. I then covered it with a gradient of Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. While it was still wet, I tapped on droplets of water, and blotted them up with paper towel. A little bit of silver watercolour was then flicked over the top and everything was set aside to dry.

I then stamped, coloured and die cut the images. To create the illusion of the ghost floating in the sky, I created two styles of clouds from the Sparkle Bright stamp set. For the first, I simply die cut it out of white cardstock. For the second, I silver embossed the outline on vellum and cut it out.

All my images were adhered together and onto the dried blue panel. For some dimension, I created two white strips and added these to the top and bottom edges of the card. On the bottom strip, I stamped the sentiment 'you're a spooktacular friend' in dark black ink, then glued all my images together and propped them up with adhesive foams.

For my little ghost, a little action wobbler was added to the back of it, and placed into the centre of the card for an extra fun element!

That finishes off today's card! Thank you so much for reading the blog, I hope you enjoyed my spooktacular little friendship design. I hope I've given you some inspiration. Happy Halloween and happy crafting!

Warm Winter Wishes CAS Card with Angie

Hi, crafty friends! It’s Angie, back with a new card and video. I’m sharing a Winter themed CAS card using the brand new Snowy Smooches stamps and dies, and Slippery Slopes stand alone dies.

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for all the products used.

I die cut a large circle out of Bristol cardstock, then blended on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, using my large make up blending brush. Then, I set it aside and then stamped and coloured some penguins from the Snowy Smooches stamp set, using the Hello Sweetums round acrylic block, and some ShinHan Touch Twin brush markers.

I then used a smaller circle die to cut an aperture out of the front of my cardbase, and adhered my blue circle behind it. After die cutting the images, I created a little snow field with the Slippery Slopes die set, and adhered my scene together, putting the star in the penguin's hand, as if he's creating his own little snowman penguin. :)

Then, I wanted to add some texture, so I heat embossed snowflakes all over the blue circle in white, and ‘warm winter wishes’ in silver, as my sentiment, down on the bottom of the card.

And that finishes off my card design for today! I hope you're inspired to create your own slimline cards with the Bitty Bugs stamp set, and don't forget to check out the rest of the brand new release over at Hello Sweetums!

Happy Buggy Garden Slimline Card with Ashlee

Hey my crafty friends... Ashlee here....

It's time for some Buggy inspiration using the super adorable "Bitty bugs" stamp and co-ordinating die set!! I'm totally loving creating slim line cards and I couldn't resist making a happy garden scene full of lots of these cute bugs....

To start I cut my slim line base and inked the top half with some Distress oxides in the shade Mermaid lagoon. I then cut three pieces to fit the base using the "Grass is Greener" die and inked them all with Twisted citron and Mowed lawn...

I added all the grass pieces onto my base with different levels of foam tape so it gave me different layers of grass to add the bugs in too....

All the bugs were coloured using Copics which I then die cut with the co dies and added them to the base to create my scene...

There is a sentiment in the Bitty bugs set that has a co-ordinating die that cuts around it which is so fun. I stamped that with Mermaid lagoon ink and then used that co die to cut it out and add it to the bottom of my card.

Finished the card off with a touch of sequins from the Catherine Pooler Charleston mix...

Hope you like my card today, and I hope to have inspired you all to get creative with your Hello Sweetums cuties!!

Happy crafting, Hugs Ashlee

Spooktacular Watercoloured Night Card with Thi

Hello, there! Thi here and today I am sharing this card I made with Hello Sweetums Fab-boo-lous Friends Clear Stamp Set! Halloween is around the corner and this is the perfect stamp set to make fun cards for your Spooktacular friends!

I was inspired from a watercoloring piece I saw online and decided to try it for my background today. First, I cut down a piece of watercolor paper to 6 x 4.5. I will be trimming this down later and the margin leaves an area for me to tape to my board. So I did just that. I taped the watercolor paper to a board then wet the entire thing with clean water. Next I started adding a blue color to the paper in circular strokes. The water allows the paint to move around and you do not get harsh lines this way. I dried it and I added 2 more layers until I got the color I wanted. To finish a night sky, I splattered the entire thing with white paint to look like stars.

While my background dried, I worked on coloring and die cutting my images. Today I colored everything with Copic markers and die cut with their coordinating dies.

To finish my card, I adhered all my ghost and the hats on with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment from Fab-boo-lous Friends directly onto my background with a crisp black ink.

I hope you like my project today and that I inspired you to get your crafty on! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day.

Buggie Wiper Card with Thi

Hello friends, Thi here and today I am sharing a wiper card I made using Hello Sweetums Bitty Bugs clear stamps. When I saw this set, I knew I would be making a cute little buggy scene but decided to make an interactive card to play with all the flying buggies!

I started by coloring all my buggies with Arteza watercolor brush markers and die cutting with their coordinating dies.

Next, I ink blended my background and grass with Distress Inks onto Bristol Smooth card stock cut to 4.5 x 6 – to leave room to cut down for the wiper base later. For the sky piece, I blended Distress Ink in Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar. For the grass piece, used Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters and Old Paper for a muted green look.

At this point is when you will cut down your ink blended piece to make the wiper - there are so many instructions online on how to make a wiper card that I will not bore you with that here. I also know a few major companies make a Wiper die for those who do not like to do math! Just remember to start off with a big enough background so that you can trim it down or die cut it to the proper size. I also used Hello Sweetums Grass is Greener Metal Die set to create the grass border on the front piece of my wiper.

After I finished assembling my wiper base, I heat embossed my sentiments with white embossing powder. Lastly, I adhered all the critters on with strong double-sided tape!

Interactive cards are so fun and these images made the perfect buggie scene! I love it when that little bee pops up!

I hope you liked my project today and thank you so much for reading! Have an amazing day!

Buggie Slimline Card with Angie

Hi, crafty friends! It's Angie, here, and today I'm sharing an adorable bug themed slimline card! These long, skinny cards are fantastic for adding lots of stamps and other elements into one scene.

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for all the products used.

To start off my design, I cut a panel out of Bristol smooth cardstock, measuring 20.5 x 8.8cm. I then wanted to create a background which looked like dawn or dusk, so I ink blended a soft, pastel colour scheme, with Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Squeezed Lemonade and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Inks.

The scene wouldn't be complete without a meadow, so I die cut a long strip of grass using the straight die from the Grass is Greener die set. The whole thing was covered in Twisted Citron, and the top was darkened with Mowed Lawn. I then set everything aside to dry.

Then, I stamped all the bugs from the brand new Bitty Bugs stamp set, plus a few mushrooms and flowers. To match the dawn/dusk background, I coloured the images with similar light shades using my ShinHan Touch Twin brush markers, and included some minty blues to compliment the scene. I then cut everything out with the coordinating dies, and placed adhesive foams onto the back of them.

I pieced my scene together, making sure that there was lots of dimension created with the help of the adhesive foams. I placed the bugs in front, and had the flowers placed behind the grass, to give the card some depth.

For an extra bit of sparkle, I silver heat embossed the 'some buggie loves you' sentiment and cut it out with the coordinating die, which creates a nice border around it. Finally, I then placed tiny clear sequins around it.

And that finishes off my card design for today! I hope you're inspired to create your own slimline cards with the Bitty Bugs stamp set, and don't forget to check out the rest of the brand new release over at Hello Sweetums!

Spooky Forest Friendship Card with Ashlee

Hey everyone.... Ashlee here....

I am SO excited because there is a brand new "Hello Sweetums" release just around the corner and let me tell you it is super AMAZING!!

The card I'm going to share with you tonight uses the new set called "Fab-boo-lous friend"...
and it is perfect to use on cards all year round!!

I couldn't wait to create with this cute little ghostie and dress him up in the adorable witches hat with the sweet pumpkin lolly bucket!! I created the background using some Distress oxide inks in the colours Twisted citron and blueprint sketch along with some regular distress ink in black soot....

Then I added some elements using die cuts... and guess what the grass is a brand new Hello Sweetums die called “Grass is greener", yippee!! I added in a heat embossed sentiment using some WOW! opaque bright white powder on black cardstock..... I just can't get past how adorable this set is and I am definitely going to have more cards coming soon using it!! I added a touch of sequins to the card to finish it off with a little bit of bling....

Be sure to check out all the other HS design team members social medias as there is going to be lots of inspiration being shared using the new release!!

The release is available NOW for shopping, so I highly recommend getting your pennies ready hehe.

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugz Ashlee
