You Are Dino-Mite Card with Bubblegum Polka Dot Background

Hi crafty friends! I'm back with another card and video, this time featuring some 3D apertures, marker colouring and die cutting.

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below, it shows how this card was made! There's also a supply list at the end of this post for links to all the products used.

I started the card by creating 3 medium sized apertures with a circle die, then I cut out coloured card circles of the same size, and placed them back into the template. It took me a long time to decide on which colours to use, but I ended up choosing a bright bubblegum scheme - blues, teals, purples and pinks just look so cute together!

Then on the panel with the apertures on it, I stuck foam adhesive all over the back of it, so that it could become three dimensional and 'pop up' from the card base, creating some depth.

Next, I used the Mini MISTI to help line the base and panel together. I did this by butting the cardbase up to the top left corner, ensuring the card was completely straight, then pressed down the panel using the same alignment method. After, it was stamping time!

I used the three dinosaurs from Prehistoric Playmates, a Mini MISTI, and some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my Shinhan Touch Twin brush markers. Then I die cut them out with their coordinating dies.

To make the dinosaurs level with the panel, I added some adhesive foam and stuck them down into the apertures. And finally, I stamped on the 'you are dino-mite' sentiment from the set!

That's it for today's card. Stay tuned for the next one! Thanks for reading! :)
